Are you a car guy? If yes, have you ever experienced talking to someone about the sound of your engine or how much money you have spent on your current project car and got a silent or a confused reply? We know exactly what you mean! There are certain things that only car guys can understand! Check out our list and see if you also get what we mean.
6. Music to our ears.
For most people, the sound of car engines are extremely annoying and some may even call it as noise but for car guys, it’s symphony to their ears. Some can even identify the car just by hearing the sound of its engine and most will drop everything when they hear it.
5. Not being able to reply ASAP or answer calls.
Most car guys tend to forget everything else whenever they are working on car-related activities, especially when they are working on their project cars. For example, they would forget to check their phones, which could lead to misunderstanding with their loved ones and friends. This is why we suggest before getting into “work mode,” it’s best to inform them where you are and what you are up to, so no one will worry and you won’t get into trouble.
4. All we need is just a good drive!
For most car guys, a quiet and long drive is just what it takes to lessen the stress or forget things just for a while. It’s the most relaxing thing for them. So no need to go see a doctor or even take some meds; just being behind the steering wheel is the perfect remedy for a week full of stress.
3. Car furniture is a thing.
Car guys don’t just collect cars–they also hoard automobile memorabilia such as magazines, clothing, mugs and etc. And don’t forget about car furniture! They’ve probably made some along the way or got their hands on them in some bazaar at some point. Chances are their beds are made from old truck beds and their lights are from recycled car parts!
2. It takes time too look good.
Who says only girls can take time to look good? Well, for car guys they take time to make sure their ride looks great. It has to be clean from inside and out and it has to be sleek enough to see their own reflection. The goal is to make sure their ride is the fairest of them all whether on the road, at the parking lot, or in the show room.
1. Self- Determination is key.
Do you get up every morning and look at the mirror and tell yourself, it’s time to finish that project car? If you do, we believe you’re a certified car guy. You know very well that no project car is easy to finish–that sometimes it takes months or even years. Thus we salute all the car guys who never give in to temptation and continue to work on their project until they see the results they want. Remember: encouraging yourself everyday is key but doing the actual work is more important!
