If you’re looking for a way to spice up how you celebrate this coming Halloween, we got you! If you’re tired of the regular pumpkins around the house, we suggest decorating your car to get all the neighbors looking. Interested? Then here are some car decorations so easy you can absolutely do them yourself!
Michelangelo makes an appearance! To recreate this, make sure to grab pieces of green, orange and white cloth. For the eyes, paper would do in case cloth is not available. Pizza prop is a must!
Cookie monster is a sure hit with kids and Sesame Street fanatics (which would be all of us). You can make use of cardboard and old boxes for the face. Grab lots of blue, white, and brown paint for this project.
Car fangs! You don’t need wood for this one. You can use a thin wire, white paper and shape them into vampire fangs! Just remember: if you’re going all out with the red stain aka blood, let it completely dry before setting it up on your car. Fixing a ruined paint job could take a lot of work and money!
Ghosts are the easiest car decorations to pull off. It’s your call if you want to go for a scary looking ghost or a friendlier one like Casper (“the friendly ghost”). What do you need? White cloth, black markers, Christmas lights, tombstone props, and a little bit of music to set the mood.
Pumpkin lanterns are a staple during Halloween and hanging a few all over your car could turn it into a Halloween booth on wheels in no time. If you have a friend who knows how to do makeup, here is where he/she could prove useful. Select a character, dress up and own the role! In this image, we’re not really sure if the kids are portraying wizards, witches or robbers. Either way, they are slaying it!
Spiders–scary critters America loves to hate! You can check the nearest mall for any spider stuffed toy. The bigger the toy, the greater the impact. Threads can be used as cobwebs or use stuffing from any of your old and damaged stuffed animals to pull off the look. Add other decorative designs as necessary.
You can’t go wrong with zombie and monster decorations. For the trunk of the car, you can use a hand from an old doll or a mannequin to give the audience the illusion that a real person is trapped in it. For the other creepy character seated in the passenger seat, a real person can portray it or you can always use a mannequin.
Let your imagination flow and you’ll amaze yourself with what you can come up with! To make things exciting, make it a group or family activity! Feel free to share with us your car themed Halloween decorations and we might just feature them on our page! Good luck!
